A good project that I have seen involves showing the effect of pop/soda on teeth. If you contact a local dentist, they can probably get you some teeth. Put different drinks in cups, each with a tooth in it. Use drinks such as Coke, Sierra Mist, Gatorade, orange juice, water, etc. Leave the teeth in the cups for several weeks, but take them out once a day to take a picture of them. After a few days, you'll start seeing the decay caused by the strong sodas like Coke. You can then put your pictures into a PowerPoint slideshow so the judges can see the daily progress.

The most common idea is a Volcano but i would lead her to a more intresting subject and posibly she could do a project on windmills or something that uses energy or show how something works Hope i helped =)
