The northeast classroom on the first floor of the schoolhouse recreates one of the oldest rural schools in the county and is indicative of the type of schools that many Tarrant County citizens attended in the twentieth century. Furnishings include blackened plaster chalkboards, wooden desks on runners, a 48 star American Flag, and a portrait of George Washington. Another important function of the classroom is its interpretive use in heritage education programming for third grade students enrolled in eighteen elementary schools in the Hurst Euless Bedford Independent School District.
