The Old Bedford School has a south-facing, ground-floor, round-arched doorway, the building's most distinctive architectural element. The central section that includes the entrance has a small pediment that is mildly suggestive of the Classical Revival style The remaining sides of the building display smaller amounts of stylistic ornamentation and detailing. The east wall has no first floor windows, although a rectangular motif is incorporated into masonry work on the ground level. The second floor has a set of two, double-hung windows and a single-door exit, accessible by way of a wooden staircase.
