Construction Phase
During Phase II, the building was restored to its original 1915 condition - masonry walls were rebuilt, a roof and second floor were constructed, wood floors and tin ceilings were replicated and installed, and great attention was given to original architectural detail. Phase III placed the Old Bedford School in conformance with requirements of the National Registry and the Americans with Disabilities Act and included the addition of a two-story building on the north side of the school to house the elevator and restrooms. Site work included the lighting, grading, fencing, landscaping, sprinklers, paving, and brickwork. |
