Decimals Fractions Percents
Aaron Said:
Whats the fastest way to order fractions percents and decimals? We Answered:
you should convert all to the same form, that is, all fractions (hardest), or all decimals (easiest) or all percents (dopiest). Then put them on a number line. Of course, more to the left is less than a number to the right.
Negatives go to the left, the bigger the absolute value, the more to the left.
Hope this helps.

Math Help, Decimals, Percents, Fractions, and a Pie Chart!!!!?We Answered:
ok lets say your percent is 170%. well the decimal is after the 0. right? right! so you move it over to the right to twice (two places) to make it a decimal. and the decimal would be 17/100. because ten goes into 170, 17 times! just find something to divide by to turn it into a fraction. don't have fracton phobia! i dont know how not to make a pie chart without excel either sorry! i would make it for you, but my parents computer has it, not mine! the best of luck to you! and dont feel bad, i am in 8th grade taking high school math, algebra 1, and i just really got it down pact last year!Dana Said:
What is 1 thing that you should remember about fractions, decimals, & percents? We Answered:
one implies the other.all are the same except their appearances are different
(that's why each has a different name).

i need help on math: converting percents, fractions, and decimals? We Answered:
To convert into a decimal simply divide by 100. To convert a decimal number into percent, multiply by 100. With that said, here he what you should get:A. 432% becomes 4.32 or 108/25
B. 0.283 becomes 28.3% or 283/1000
C. 9 2/5 = 47/5 = 9.4 which we multiply by 100 to get 940%

how can i make these percents decimals & fractions in simplest form?We Answered:
For percents move the decimal 2 places to the left.If there is no decimal, it is said to be on the right of the last
number.
To make into a fraction count how many places over the decimal is and put the number over a 1 and that number of zeros. If it's over 3 places the denominator would be 1000
If it's over two places the denominator would be 100
52%= 0.52 = 52/100 reduced = 13/25
20.5% = 0.205 = 205/1000 reduced = 41/200
0.5% = 0.005 = 5/1000 reduced = 1/200
205% = 2.05 = 2 (5/100) reduced = 2 1/20
I did these so you could check your work.
Good luck to you!

How do you memorize percents, fractions, decimals? We Answered:
The best part is you don't need to memorize these rules! You probably do these math operations everyday but do not know it.Fraction into decimal:
Simply divide the numerator into the denominator.
If you aren't allowed a calculator, do long division.
Example : 4/6
First I would simplify this fraction by factoring......2 can go into both 4 and 6: 2 x 2 =4
2 x 3 =6
So 4/6 is the same as 2/3
But you don't have to do that....let's stick with 4/6
divide 4 into 6 and you will get 0.666 repeated.
To make this decimal a percent simply multiply by 100, or move the decimal place two places to the right.
0.666 = 66.6% !
So going from a fraction--> decimal --> percent is pretty standard.
Lets go backwards. Starting with 75%. Make it a decimal.
You simply do the opposite of above, instead of multiplying by 100, you divide by 100, or move the decimal place two to the left.
75% = 0.75
Now moving from a decimal to a fraction is probably the hardest part.
Every single number is a fraction as every number is "over 1"
0.75 = 0.75/1
But we don't want decimals in fractions. So every time you move the decimal to the right in the numerator, you must add a zero in the denominator......
0.75/1 = 7.5/10 = 75/100
Now we have a fraction!
However it is a big fraction. We should find a common factor for 75 and 100. The easiest one is 5. So divide both by 5
75/5 = 15
100/5 = 20
75/100 = 15/20
This can be factored by 5 again
15/5 = 3
20/5 = 4
75/100 = 15/20 = 3/4
Simply continue factoring until you can't anymore.
